The date of her birth is 29 March 1985 in Roswell, New Mexico. Gerina Michelle Mendoza is her name. Gerina Stevenson, the child of Mexican grandparents Rita Stevenson and Alan Stevenson. She is American and has Mexican-American heritage. Ever since she was young she's been extremely interested in participating in sport. Gerina began playing golf when she was fifteen. Gerina completed her high school education at Goddard High School. In high school, she won in the New Mexico golf state tournament. She was also a volleyball player who competed on the level of state. At the age of 2003, she enrolled at the University of Texas. In the final years of her career, she was the winner of every event in which she competed. In her college career, she was named Conference USA individual champion player of the year, and was named UTEP Female Athlete Of The Year.
