Laura Linney has been hailed as one of America's top well-known actors. She is known for her strong character that are also at risk. She was raised by a single, unmarried mother who worked as a nursing assistant. Her interest in theatre during the summers spent with her famous father. She was a student of acting through Brown University, and later in Juilliard School. Beginning her career at the Broadway following her graduation, she debuted in films within two years, and then on television following a year. Innumerable appearances in movies, television shows and stage productions since then. There were many awards she received throughout her career such as the four Primetime Emmy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards. Although she received many awards throughout her career, theatre was always her primary interest.
