Amy Adams in full Amy Lou Adams (born on 20th August 1974 in Aviano Italy) American actress, especially noted for her critically-acclaimed portrayals of naive and charming characters. Adams was the youngest of seven children who lived as a child in Colorado's Castle Rock. She was born while her father was employed by the U.S. Military in Italy. Around the middle of the 1990s, she began performing professionally and dancing with The Boulder Dinner Theatre and the Country Dinner Playhouse in Colorado. She then moved to Minnesota and was chosen to be a character in Drop Dead Gorgeous, a mock documentarian film about beauty contests. She moved into Los Angeles after making her debut on screen as the naive but good-hearted contestant. Her husband was the actor Tony Curtis from June 1951 to September 1962 and the mother of Kelly Curtis and Jamie Lee Curtis. She was discovered by actress Norma Shearer Leigh secured a deal with MGM and began her film career during the late 1940s. She was in numerous acclaimed film productions over the course of the decade such as Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960) and Living It Up (a Martin and Lewis-film from 1954).
