Katherine Heigl speaks to everyone about her "white bubble childhood" and how it has had an impact on how she raises the children of her adoptive parents who are multiracial. She was in the movie "Firefly Lane", revealed to an interviewer that it did not matter the color of her skin to her. But after having a conversation with her Korean-American adopted older sister, she realised the distinction in how people were treated by her. I asked Meg if, when she was out with her parents she was treated with a specific manner but when she was on her own, she received a different one. Meg replied, "Oh yeah, always!" Heigl said to Parents, "That made me realise that I had been so ignorant." She became enraged at the time, and chose to channel her anger into assist her daughters who were adopted by her. Heigl has a four year old son who is married to her 13 year old spouse, Josh Kelley. They adopted Nancy Leigh from South Korea at the age of 12 in 2009. then Adalaide whom was eight years old older and was Black in 2012.
